"Where words fail, music speaks." -Hans Christian Andersen

Now, for the topic of my life. The one thing I have a true passion for. A topic that will most likely come up a lot...MUSIC!

Music is the most wonderful thing! Since I don't have any musical talent of my own, I have come up with a great plan that will keep music a huge part of my life. I have yet to set that plan into motion, though. I guess I better get a move on it.

Anyway, of course, everyone thinks they love music more than any person that may be next to them. I'd challenge you to that. Concerts. Live music. That is the best!

My favorite bands or musicians:

**************Cat Stevens(Now Yusuf Islam)*************

I've grown up listening to this amazing man! Thank you, dad. There is very little I wouldn't do to be able to see him in concert. If I could travel back in time to any point, I would be at his Earth Tour, 1976 concerts...all of them. Listening to his music just makes me feel good. I don't know how anyone wouldn't while listening to him. There are people that are very foolish and made such a big deal about the change of his lifestyle. They constantly criticize him for it. It just makes me think he's more amazing that he had the courage to follow a path of his own for himself. He's a man that has always been about peace.
“I always stood for the elimination of conflict and wars, and any of those causes that ignite them.” -Yusuf Islam

**********************Allred**********************

The first time I saw John Allred was June 11, 2008. Since then I've seen him in concert 36 times. He was the beginning of my obsession with concerts, pretty much music in general. It seems that every time I see an Allred concert they are better and better, but I still can't say which is my favorite one I've been to.
At the same time that Cat Ste
vens is my absolute favorite musician, John Allred is my biggest inspiration in music. Through his kindness and all the heart he puts into his music, lyrics and performing, I've decided what I want to do with my life. It's all because of him.
He once said, "I want people to feel like they're a part of the music again." Through the years I've listened to his music, that has truly been accomplished in my life.

***********Double or Nothing***********
The first time I saw Double or Nothing was a very, very small show, August 27, 2009. They have come an extremely long way! You would not believe the crowds at their shows now are there for the same band as the one I saw that first day . I didn't think I would ever like their music as much as I ever liked John Allred's music. I don't think they thought I would either. With their most recent album "Silhouettes Fade" I was proved wrong. It was surprising to me. They really are amazing, and so fun in concert! They are amazing and fun people in general!

*****Jason Reeves*****

Jason Reeves is one of my favorite musicians because his music is so relaxing.
I don't know if there is anyone that is happier to be
alive. He just seems at peace with nature and his life. I love
his music because you can hear that peace.
I think he has wonderful thoughts to share with the world, and he is able to do that through
his music.

*****Always Meet Twice*****

Always Meet Twice, Andy Schaub, is for the most part the beginning stages of his music. I've found you will enjoy music and concerts more as you follow a band from the beginning. You just have to be interested in the music and as it goes you will be surprised how fast a band or musician will improve. My favorite songs by Always Meet Twice are "Everything," "Novella," "Photograph," and then newest song, "What You Got." I believe Always Meet Twice has a long career ahead, and I'm excited I get to see it from the beginning! Do yourself a favor and look him up, then do him a favor by spreading his music. It is the least you can do when wonderful musicians are willing to share their music with the world!

**********This Is Anfield**********
This Is Anfield is not together anymore. They are still great friends, though. This was a band full of amazing people and great music. Although they, as a band, are missed, a couple of them are now in the band Allred, so it is nice to be able to see them perform still. It's also nice to see the occasional solo, acoustic show by Alan Hanson.
