Hawaiian Speed.

My sister and I just finished playing Hawaiian Speed...Myself being the winner!
Anyway, it got me thinking about the past and what I miss.
First, I miss the beginning of Hawaiian Speed, Delanie teaching us. I miss Brittany, Delanie, and I having sleep overs playing Hawaiian Speed and all the other crazy games we would come up with all night...our courses in the dark, mystery taste testing...I miss it all. Our long bike rides, feeding the ducks at the Homestead, "The Jets," the rope swing. I miss being called "Frick and Freck." Why do we have to grow up? Growing up, I've lost all of these things, and due to being careless about friendship, I've also lost touch with one of the best friends I ever had. I miss her.
I also miss all of the people we passed the game on to. I miss our little Hawaiian Speed competitions, and spoons, the prank phone calls, the night games that we never ended up playing. I miss talking to everyone and hanging out with each other so easily.
As we change, the people in our life change as well. No matter how much you love them, some of them may just end up being a part of your past. Although, I really hope that we will all reconnect one day. For now, I am grateful for the memories I have and the parts they play in them. I wish them all the best of luck in life until we meet again.
